Below are some of the the route options during your stay in this hikers’ paradise.

All day: Hiking at the Anaga Rural Park. The Anaga Rural Park occupies much of the mountainous massif located at the north-eastern end of the Island of Tenerife. With an area of 14,419 hectares, it is a substantial part of the Island of Tenerife and includes parts of the municipal districts of La Laguna, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Tegueste. This is a steeply-sloping area with exceptional natural and cultural treasures, which has landscapes of great harmony and beauty, the fruit of the co-existence of the human being and nature in a rugged territory. Lunch: in typical local house. Route: “Cruz del Carmen – Punta Hidalgo”. Time: 4:30 hours hiking. Degree of Difficulty: Medium.

Hiking at the Teno Rural Park The track starts in the hamlet of Teno Alto 1, in a place known as Los Bailaderos, in the present path leading to “Las Cuevas” (caves) and passing south of El Vallado Mountain. In this first part of the track one cannot but admire the popular architecture, as well as old tile-ovens and “tagoros” (old meeting point of the idigenous peoples.) Once in Las Cuevas, you keep going down to Las Casas through a most irregular terrain, where at times you may still see the original cobblestones. Las Casas lies at the foot of the slopes of Barranco de Las Casas, at the beginning of the Teno peninsula.

There are interesting remains of the Canarian traditional architecture. From this point you go straight to Punta de Teno 2, on the extreme north-west of the island, in the middle of the Natural Park of Teno and where you get dramatic views of the peninsula, coast and the lighthouse of Teno. Route: “Teno Alto – Teno Bajo” Time: 2h Degree of Difficulty: lowAfternoon: Kayaking in Los Gigantes. With this excursion you’ll be able to experience the majestic vertical walls of the cliffs known as Los Gigantes at first hand, and because its aimed at beginners you needn’t worry if it’s your first time in a kayak. You’re set to enjoy a great return trip! Time: 2h Degree of Difficulty: low. Lunch locally:

Morning: Hiking at the Teide National Park. There are different Walking routes in El Teide with different difficulties or length. All of them take place in a unique environment with lots of breathtaking landscapes. Routes are family oriented. You will be able to enjoy the impressive volcanic landscape and learn from the experts about the history and wildlife of the park. Route: Roques Garcia. Time: 2:00 hrs. Degree of Difficulty: low. Afternoon: Climbing lesson for beginners in Teide National Park. Time: 3:00 hrs. Degree of Difficulty: low. Lunch: Parador del Teide.
