Hi Nick,

 

A quick word to say how fabulous the tournament was. The commitment and organisation of Anita and her team was outstanding, and the netball was played in a super spirit. We loved the venue, having the 3 courts running indoors created a great atmosphere. I’m sure the surface was also kinder on our ageing legs (our oldest player is 57!)

 

The social night was great fun, and certainly contributed to the Sunday tournament being even more pleasant as the chances were we’d partied the night before with our opposing player….

 

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the tour to anyone wanting to experience something different from a netball tour. I'm not sure that we'll be able to tempt the men of Marbella away from the golf courses to play in the mixed tournament, but we will definitely be back.

Weather didn't dampen our spirits in javea, we had an amazing time!
The villa was great, perfect for a large group and I am sure with nice weather, it would be even better. We did manage one day by the pool, which was great and there were a couple of brave ones that ventured in!

The one day of netball was tough but good fun. I think we were suffering quite badly with hangovers, so didn't do as well as expected, plus we had a mixture of all our 5 teams playing in the 1 squad. But we enjoyed it none the less. Next time, we will be out to claim that cup!

Our nights out topped the holiday. Charlies bar didn't know what hit them, nor did Tiffanys on the Friday night! I have a funny feeling the local residents may remember us for some time yet, in a good way though, we made friends with everyone!!

So by and all we had an excellent time! We hope to come back in 2009, but failing that (finances and pregnancies!) 2010 for sure, that year will also be our 10yr anniversary so we need to celebrate in style!

Maree took a team photo at the start of the tournament, would be great to get a copy if possible.

We did get a few photos, but i'll get the girls to send them over to you!  Thank you very much for organising our trip, we all had a fantastic time and really enjoyed meeting everyone!  It went far to quickly!!
