La Liga is widely seen as the best football league in Europe. Visit either Barcelona’s Nou Camp stadium or the Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid to see the teams in action, and sample the delights of these colourful cities which offer fantastic shopping and sightseeing opportunities.

BARCELONA

Combine the many attractions of Barcelona with a visit to Europe’s largest stadium – Camp Nou. Barcelona are both La Liga and European champions, and their home matches are sure to be a memorable experience. Barcelona is a colourful, vibrant city with the Mediterranean shoreline forming part of the landscape. Relax on the beach, shop in the Passeig de Gracia for labels such as Chanel, Burberry and Armani, or head off to Las Ramblas to explore the many craft and gift shops. Museums and theatres abound, and there are nightclubs and bars for all night partying if you wish!

MADRID

Come for a fantastic weekend of shopping and football in the Spanish capital Madrid. See players such as Beckham, Ronaldo, and Raul play in the awesome 85,000 seater Santiago Bernabeu stadium. During the day enjoy the first class shopping experience offered by Madrid; international designers can be found in the streets of Conde de Xiquena, jewellery, shoes and leather goods in the Salamanca district, and explore the open air markets which trade at weekends. At night, sample the vibrant and exciting nightlife: many restaurants, bars and clubs are open every night until the small hours, and there is no shortage of things to do!

SPECIAL NOTES

Please note that most games are Sunday night fixtures, but some matches are played on a Saturday night if Spanish TV buys the rights. This usually happens at short notice, so all packages we offer are based on a minimum stay of Saturday and Sunday nights to cover this eventuality. We will contact you during the week before your visit to confirm final kick-off details. Please also note that it is not unusual for games to kick off as late as 10pm.

Shoppers Guide.

As a guide, shops open from 10am then shut from 2pm to 5 pm, and re-open until 8pm. Shops are not usually open on Sundays, although there are open air markets and other activities to explore on those days.

If using credit cards to pay for your goods, it is important to bring your passport or other form of ID with you. Shops will not accept credit card payment without a valid form of ID.

Sales are generally from the second week in January to February, and from July to August.
