Halfway between Alicante and Valencia airports, Javea is less than an hour from each via a modern Autopista, but far enough away to never see an aeroplane. Centrally placed to reach the cities of Madrid or Barcelona, to travel down to the Costa
del Sol or just travel 10 minutes inland into the hills that surround Javea.
Nearly every kind of water sport is catered for in Javea, and for those who
don't want to get their feet wet there is golf, bowls, tennis, cycling, horse
riding and hiking to name but a few. Javea`s blue flag beach where the shore gently slopes into the warm sea. The
promenade has a number of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants providing a variety
of food to suit all tastes.
During the evening in the Summer months, you will find various stalls here
selling a variety of handmade crafts. Many of the bars have live music and there
are several discotheques for those who like to dance the night away.
There are also several scenic coves nearby. Granadella with its crystal
clear waters is a favourite for scuba diving and snorkelling as is Portichol.
There is even a naturist beach at Ambolo.
